Chelsea fans’ letter rocks club ownership

Chelsea’s turbulent season has extended beyond the pitch, with the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust (CST) expressing serious concerns about the club’s direction off it.

In a detailed letter to owners Todd Boehly and Bedhad Eghbali, the CST highlighted issues that they fear could turn the club into “a laughing stock.”

Despite significant investments in the squad, Chelsea currently languish in 11th place in the Premier League, a far cry from their usual standards.

The CST’s grievances revolve around the club’s management, particularly in terms of finances and fan engagement.

They accuse the owners of breaking a promise to maximize revenue streams before increasing costs for matchgoing fans.

The CST provided examples of rising costs, including merchandise, away game travel, and food and drink prices at Stamford Bridge.

They also expressed concerns over potential increases in ticket prices for the next season, a move that could further alienate the fan base.
