Ronaldo vs coaches: Al-Nassr struggle begins

In a recent King Cup of Champions semi-final match, Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly became angry and verbally attacked Al-Nassr’s coaches after the team went into half-time trailing 1-0 to Al-Wehda.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr last year after leaving Manchester United, but his time with the team has not been without controversy, despite his successful goal-scoring record.

Earlier this month, Ronaldo was also involved in a heated argument with the coaching staff after his team was held to a 0-0 draw by Al-Feiha in the Saudi Pro League.

On Monday night, during the cup match between Al-Nassr and Al-Wehda, Ronaldo reportedly vented his frustration again when his team was trailing at half-time.

As the players were walking off the pitch, a visibly upset Ronaldo was seen walking towards the bench and angrily confronting his coaching team.

Despite Al-Wehda being reduced to 10 men after Abdullah Al-Hafith fouled Ronaldo in the 55th minute, Al-Nassr were unable to turn the game around and keep their cup campaign alive.

Furthermore, Al-Nassr is currently without a manager after parting ways with Rudi Garcia earlier this month.

Garcia left the team in second place in the league less than a year after being appointed, and his departure was mutually agreed upon.

Who will replace Garcia?

The successor of Garcia is yet to be confirmed by the club, but several prominent figures, including AS Roma’s Jose Mourinho and former Spain national team coach Luis Enrique, have been linked to the position.

Currently, Dinko Jelicic, the former manager of the club’s Under-19 team, is serving as the interim manager.

The loss in the King Cup of Champions is a significant setback for Ronaldo, who has faced criticism for his decision to move to the Middle East.

The veteran footballer, who has won multiple domestic titles in England, Spain, and Italy, as well as the Champions League, stated that he had accomplished everything he had set out to achieve during his time at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, and had come to the Middle East to pursue new challenges and win new honors.
