Manchester United will face Nottingham Forest in the semi-finals.

Nottingham Forest was drawn to face Manchester United in the semi-finals of the 2020/21 Carabao Cup. The draw was made following Southampton’s shock 2-0 win over Manchester City in the quarter-finals. Nottingham Forest’s Dean Henderson was the hero; he saved in a shootout versus Wolves, and two penalties were scored put his team through.

The on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper saved penalty penalties from Joe Hodge and Ruben Neves as Forest won 4-3 after the game had finished 1-1 in regular time. Southampton has been rewarded for their win over Manchester City with a two-legged tie against Newcastle in the semi-finals. The Saints put in a superb performance against the Premier League champions, with goals from Sekou Mara and Moussa Djenepo securing the victory.

Manchester United is the favorite to win the Carabao Cup this season. The Red Devils have already beaten two top-six teams in the competition, with wins over Arsenal and Tottenham, and they will be confident of progressing to the final.

Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, will be looking to cause an upset.
