Manchester United Advance to Carabao Cup Semi-finals After 3-0 Win Over Charlton Athletic.

Manchester United has progressed to the semi-finals following a 3-0 victory against Charlton Athletic of the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. Antony opened the scoring for United in the 21st minute with a superb assist from Fred before Marcus Rashford scored two late goals in the 90th and 94th minutes with assists from Pellistri and Casemiro to seal the win.

The win was United’s 8th consecutive victory and their third semi-final appearance in the competition in the last six seasons. However, they will be looking to go one better than in the last two semi-finals, which they lost to Manchester City. Their opponents in the semis will be Newcastle United, who beat Leicester City 2-0 in their quarter-final match. 

 Manchester United will now be looking to put an end to their five-year wait for domestic silverware, and they will be hoping that the form they have been showing in the last few weeks will continue in the semi-finals. The traveling supporters from Charlton applauded the traveling supporters from Charlton off the field after the match, and their performance was a credit to them.

It was the largest away crowd they have had for a midweek cup game. United will now turn their attention to Saturday’s huge Premier League clash against Manchester City at Old Trafford. It promises to be an epic encounter between two sides vying for the title this season. It’s been a fantastic run of form for Manchester United, and they will be looking to continue their good form in the Carabao Cup this season and bring home some silverware.
