Flight of fancy: Danjuma’s journey from Goodison to Lyon?

Everton manager Sean Dyche responded to swirling speculations around Arnaut Danjuma’s potential move to Lyon, humorously addressing a photo posted by the winger on Instagram featuring him in a private jet.

Dyche, tongue-in-cheek, remarked that he had advised Danjuma that flying from Manchester to Liverpool for training might be considered “excessive.”

Despite the light-hearted comment, Dyche affirmed that Danjuma “will be part of what we do” at Everton.

Danjuma, on loan from Villarreal to Everton since the summer, has faced limited Premier League starts, with his last appearance in the starting lineup dating back to September.

While regularly contributing off the bench, it’s reported that the Netherlands international seeks assurances of consistent game time from Everton.

Lyon is actively pursuing the winger, but any potential move hinges on the agreement of both Everton and Villarreal to terminate Danjuma’s loan spell prematurely.

The player’s agent, Michael-Moses Jarman, recently confirmed Lyon’s interest and ongoing discussions about Danjuma’s future.
