West Ham captain declared fit following burglary ordeal

West Ham United’s captain, Kurt Zouma, has been declared fit for the upcoming clash against Tottenham Hotspur after missing the previous match due to a burglary at his home.

Despite the traumatic incident, Zouma is back in training and is expected to return to the starting XI.

West Ham manager David Moyes expressed support for the defender, emphasizing the club’s commitment to assisting Zouma in the aftermath of the break-in.

Zouma and his family experienced a harrowing burglary over the weekend, with intruders breaking into their home while they were present.

The burglars not only stole items of “significant value” but also items of great personal and sentimental importance to the family.

West Ham immediately granted Zouma compassionate leave, and he missed the subsequent match against Crystal Palace.

In the wake of the incident, West Ham has offered a £25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the burglars.

Moyes reiterated the club’s unwavering support for Zouma, acknowledging the impact of such an invasion of privacy. The manager expressed hope that the reward would aid in bringing those responsible to justice.
