Nuno Espirito Santo awaits Forest reckoning

The future of Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper appears uncertain, with reports suggesting that former Tottenham and Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is being lined up as a potential replacement.

Cooper faced a pivotal moment in the recent game against Tottenham, which ended in a 2-0 defeat, following a 5-0 thrashing by Fulham just nine days earlier.

The back-to-back losses have heightened speculation about Cooper’s position at the helm of the City Ground.

Cooper, a Welshman, played a key role in guiding Nottingham Forest back to the Premier League after an absence of more than two decades and secured their top-flight status last season.

However, a recent downturn in form, with six losses in the last eight games, has seen the team slide down the table.

The Forest owner, known for decisive managerial changes in the past, is reportedly considering Nuno Espirito Santo as a potential successor.

Nuno, having previously found success at Wolves, had a brief stint at Tottenham, lasting only ten games before his departure. Last month, he was dismissed by Saudi club Al-Ittihad.
