Luka Doncic scored 60 points and had 21 rebounds and 10 assists in the Dallas OT victory against the New York Knicks.

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the New York Knicks 126-121 in overtime thanks to Luka Doncic’s first 60-point “triple-double” in NBA history.

The 23-year-old Slovenian recorded double figures in three important attacking stats, scoring 60 points, pulling down 21 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists.

In the closing seconds, with the Mavericks behind 115-113, he purposefully missed a free throw, grabbed the rebound, and made a jump shot to force overtime.

Doncic surpasses Wilt Chamberlain to become the youngest player in NBA history to produce a 50-point triple-double, and he is only the sixth player overall to do so.

With less than 45 seconds left in the fourth quarter and the hosts down 110-101, his performance propelled an incredible comeback victory for the home team.

The pinnacle of his team’s comeback was Doncic’s choice to purposely throw his free-throw attempt against the backboard, win the ball in the subsequent scuffle, and maintain his poise and accuracy to sink his shot.
