Erling Haaland got his shooting boots back!

The forward recovered from a few costly errors to score twice in Switzerland to get ready for the Manchester derby. Although he still has some physical issues, Erik Haaland is still able to score goals. The Norwegian was guilty of a number of missed opportunities against Young Boys that one would think he would have buried, but he finished the game with two more goals as Manchester City easily won 3-1 in Bern.

After a rough first half on the artificial grass, Manuel Akanji’s scrappy goal gave City the lead early in the second half. However, Meschak Elia’s lob of Ederson gave Young Boys the equalizer.

After going five games without winning in the Champions League, City finally took the lead thanks to an unfortunate penalty that Haaland converted. The Norwegian then secured the win with a superb, top-corner finish to bring his season total to 11 goals, ideal preparation for the Manchester derby on Sunday.
