One of the most sought-after strikers in the Norwegian League is poised to join Chelsea. David Datro Fofana, a striker who is 19 years old, is the subject here.
Fofana, who is originally from the Ivory Coast, has already spent three seasons playing for Molde FK’s first squad, where he has amassed 24 goals and five assists in 64 games. He has scored four goals in ten games so far this season, starting eight of them.
However, the Ivory Coast international’s performance last season, when he managed 17 goals in 29 games while starting 22, stands out the most in his so far brief career.
These figures have caught the eye of teams all over the world, including the Premier League, where David Fofana will play starting in January, according to Fabrizio Romano, a transfer windows expert who shared them on his official Twitter account.
He claims that the 2002-born forward would be signed by the Blues in the upcoming transfer window after a contract has already been reached with Molde. It appears that a sum greater than €10 million has been agreed upon for the signing.
Having said that, Chelsea and the player’s agent are still negotiating personal conditions, which is what’s delaying the official completion of the trade. Once they arrive, the transfer will have been successfully accomplished.
