Marco Silva refuses to apologise after Ten Hag rant

Manchester United’s manager, Marco Silva, has chosen not to offer an apology to the club following Fulham’s controversial TikTok post mocking Bruno Fernandes.

The video, which surfaced after last weekend’s game, showed Fernandes initially writhing in pain on the ground before quickly getting back up to request the ball, with the caption reading, “So glad he’s OK.”

This prompted Erik Ten Hag, United’s manager, to demand an apology from Fulham.

Silva, however, has taken a different stance, stating, “I am not a big fan of social media, but as you would expect, I am aware of this.”

He went on to defend his player, emphasizing that he would stand by them regardless of the circumstances.

Silva also noted Ten Hag’s claim that he hadn’t seen the post, suggesting that the Dutchman’s reaction was based on a journalist’s question rather than direct knowledge of the incident.

Regarding Fernandes, Silva praised him as a “top player and a top professional,” highlighting his importance as Manchester United’s captain.

He emphasized Fernandes’s qualities both on and off the pitch, noting that being a captain of such a prestigious club requires a complete package of skills and professionalism.
