Guardiola downplays impact of Berrada’s move to United

Pep Guardiola has responded to Manchester United’s recruitment of Omar Berrada, former Chief Operations Officer at Manchester City, expressing the belief that this alone won’t transform United into football giants.

Guardiola acknowledged Berrada’s departure as a significant loss for City, especially considering his role in recruiting top players like Erling Haaland.

Guardiola, however, emphasized City’s resilience, noting that despite United’s attempts, they haven’t managed to lure key players like Haaland or Kevin De Bruyne away from the Etihad.

While acknowledging Berrada’s professionalism and character, Guardiola expressed skepticism about the notion that United’s fortunes would drastically change with his arrival.

He highlighted that City’s strength lies in retaining key talents like De Bruyne and attracting stars like Haaland.

Guardiola concluded by affirming City’s ability to adapt and move forward, stating that the club has learned from Berrada, and now it’s time for them to progress without him.
