Salah’s pledge to Egypt amidst controversy

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has assured fans that he is committed to doing everything possible to make a swift return to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after sustaining a hamstring injury during Egypt’s second match against Ghana.

Salah has returned to Liverpool for rehabilitation, causing some tension between Egypt and Liverpool regarding communication over his injury.

Egypt manager Rui Vitoria expressed dissatisfaction with statements made by Jurgen Klopp and Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa, criticizing them for causing unnecessary concern.

Egypt scraped through the group stage with three draws and may miss Salah’s services unless they reach the final on February 11.

In response, Salah expressed optimism about his recovery, assuring fans of his dedication to the national team and subtly addressing criticism about his loyalty.

Klopp attempted to calm the situation, emphasizing Liverpool’s commitment to helping Salah recover quickly and expressing a willingness to release him back to Egypt if fit and the team progresses in the tournament.
