Romeo Lavia to Liverpool is Super Close?

Romeo Lavia joined Southampton from Man City this summer, and is thought to be holding out for £50 million; a source us that Chelsea is also interested and monitoring the issue; Lavia has four years left on his deal with Southampton.

Lavia is reportedly a target for both Chelsea and Arsenal, who have also expressed interest in the Belgian international.

After a mixed performance in Tuesday’s 3-2 preseason loss to Bournemouth, Lavia was taken off at halftime, and it appears increasingly probable that he will leave this summer.

The midfielder has “a lot in his head,” according to Southampton manager Martin, because of the rumors regarding his future.

Lavia’s Southampton contract has four more years to run.

The Belgian international transferred from Manchester City to Southampton last summer, but it is anticipated that he would leave after the Saints were kicked out of the Premier League at the conclusion of the last campaign.

After signing Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig for £60 million and Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for £35 million, Jurgen Klopp has already added two new midfielders to his squad.
