Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 700th club goal during Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Everton.
In a thrilling match at Goodison Park, Ronaldo scored what ultimately proved to be the winning goal late in the first half.In the pouring rain on Merseyside, Alex Iwobi gave the visitors the lead before goals from Antony and Ronaldo gave the Reds the victory.
United climbs up to fifth place in the standings as a result of its fifth Premier League victory of the year.
Iwobi scored the game’s first goal with a lethal long-range drive within of five minutes. The Nigerian international struck the top-right corner of the goal with a shot from outside the box.
However, just ten minutes later, Antony helped the Reds draw even again. After latching onto a feed from Anthony Martial, the Brazilian expertly tucked the ball past Jordon Pickford with exquisite poise.

After coming in for the French forward, Ronaldo made sure that United led going into the interval by combining with Casemiro to slip through the Toffees’ defense and score a historic goal.
After equalizing, Ten Hag’s team enjoyed a sustained stretch of dominance and were deserving of the 2-1 advantage at the break. Christian Eriksen and Casemiro both had good chances, while Bruno Fernandes had an attempt disallowed for offside.
Beginning the second half with fresh vigor, Frank Lampard’s team set about the goal of regaining control of the game, but the Toffees struggled to create chances despite their increased pressure.
When Ronaldo set Eriksen up on the edge of the box, the Danish midfielder could have increased United’s lead, but he shot high.
Marcus Rashford eventually scored with 10 minutes remaining, poking in to cap a dazzling run that began with a Ronaldo flick-on. After a VAR review, it was chalked out, though, because the ball had bounced off the goalkeeper and onto the forward’s hand during the buildup
The sole mistake was a caution for replacement Scott McTominay, which prevented the Reds from winning 2-1 despite that choice. He will not play in our upcoming league game against Newcastle United because of his fifth yellow card of the year, which was given for a foul shortly after he was introduced in the closing minutes.
