Adam Azim Dominates Santos Reyes in 10-Round Bout..

Adam Azim made a statement in the boxing world on Saturday night by taking a dominant victory over Nicaragua’s Santos Reyes in their 10-round bout.

Azim was a winner, 100-89 for all three judges, after dropping Reyes in the second round and controlling the contest. Azim has been on a roll since turning professional in 2018, winning all eight of his bouts, seven via knockout.

It was the first time since he left the full 10 rounds, but he was undeterred and showed why he is one of the most exciting prospects in UK boxing.

Reyes entered the ring with a low-key entrance, but he was perfectly calm, bouncing from foot to foot in his corner. Azim, in contrast, strode back and forth, eager to start working with the people cheering him on.

The first round saw Reyes touch Azim to the body, but Azim controlled the distance between them. He let Reyes’ jab fall short, and then let him swing at empty air before his right blasted to the body.

Reyes took straight one-twos on his gloves twice, but Azim redirected his attack back to the body. The breakthrough for Azim came in the second round, as he landed a huge right uppercut that sent Reyes wobbling backward and toppling over.

Azim finished the fifth by uncorking right hooks and, in the sixth, landed his best shot of the fight with a huge left hook. Reyes stayed resolute and threw his best shot of the fight in the seventh round.

Azim continued to work at Reyes in the ninth and tenth rounds, hammering left hooks into his head and repeating that shot to shake up the Nicaraguan. Despite not being able to disrupt Azim’s dominance, Reyes could make it through the full 10 rounds, to the crowd’s delight.

It was a huge victory for Azim and a testament to his skill and determination. He is sure to be a force to be reckoned with in future bouts.
